Can I sublet my apartment?

There are only two cases where you are allowed to sublet your apartment:
  1. During exchange studies through Uppsala University or SLU. 
  2. During June, July and August for apartments with 12 months rent.  

All subleases must be approved by the landlord. Subleasing contracts can be found at the housing office or be downloaded from this webpage.

How does the queuing system work?

In our queuing system you get one point for each semester that you have been an active student and a member of the V-Dala nation. Being an active student means that you must complete studies worth 22.5 credits per semester or 45 credits per year. The current semester also gives you 1 point, regardless of registred credits. You also get points if you fellow applicant is a member of the V-dala nation, or if you are already staying in one of our rooms. Extra points are given if you have held an offices elected at the nation's Landskap (general assembly) . For a more thorough explanation, please see under the headline Application.
 
Since you get points for every semester that you are an actively studying member of the nation, you do not have to place yourself in the queue until you actually need housing. The length of time in the queue does not give you any advantages.
