New application forms and a new queuing system

From March 2009 there are new application forms and a new type of queuing system for our rooms and apartments. There is now only ONE application form, available in Swedish and English. The new forms can be downloaded from the website, and are also available at the nation.

In the new queuing system, you can sign up for three different queues, not two as before. These are: single rooms, one-room apartments and two- and three-room apartments. The single rooms are for one person only. For the two-and three-room apartments you must have a fellow applicant. For the one-room apartments a fellow applicant is optional, which means these apartments can be rented by one OR two tenants.

We have also changed the point system for the fellow applicants. A non-student fellow applicant generates zero points, a fellow applicant who is a student at UU or SLU but member of another nation gives one point, and a fellow applicant who is a member of the V-Dala nation gives two points. The points for people who have held offices at the nation have also changed. An overview of the new point system can be found hon this website and at the office of the Kurator.

What happens at the distributions?

The distribution of availiable rooms always takes place at the nation. Please make sure to be there on time and to bring all the necessary documents:

1. Student ID card (proof that you have paid a full fee for the current semester)
2. A certificate from V-Dala nation showing how many semesters you have been a member.
3. Identification card or passport
4. A certificate from the university showing your study results. Make sure your personal number is shown on the copy.
5. A certificate from your university showing that you are registered as a student the current semester.
6. Original or certified copy of the fellow applicant's ID and student ID card (if you have a fellow applicant)

If you are sending a proxy he or she must also bring a certified copy of your student ID card and of your identification card, together with a letter of authorisation.

When the distribution starts, you need to state your presence. Then the name of the student present who has the most points in the queue is called. That person can then choose among the available rooms or apartments. When the choice is made, the student with the second most points can choose, and so on.
